This is truly amazing. Anyone who's been to the Hollywood Bowl to see John Williams knows how appropriate this is!

The Los Angeles Philharmonic will name the Hollywood Bowl’s stage for the 93-year-old composer, whose music for “Star Wars” and “E.T.” helped define modern cinema.

They don't score 'em like they used to! One new/sealed copy of the complete Back to the Future original score from 1985 by Alan Silvestri is up for grabs in the store. The last time we sold this 2CD release from Intrada, it was 2016 and the price was $90. Missed this one before? Here might be a good chance to fill a big hole in the collection. The score is 40 years old and fresh as ever!

Classic movie fans, we lost a beauty yesterday. We forever remember Olivia Hussey as the best screen version of Shakespeare's Juliet; memories encouraged by the musical themes written by Nino Rota. The composer's inspiration is unmistaken. Here are a few versions of the soundtrack on CD, all great... it was a major seller in the 60s. The most recent release is still available in the store from Quartet Records.

Others may also remember her portrayal as Mary in the TV series "Jesus of Nazareth." One of the best....
