Here is the assessment of the Teacher Retirement System of Louisiana in the context of Amendment 3. This is THEIR analysis and, it is THEIR job to manage and maintain this critical system.

As an elected public servant, I know it is impossible to make everyone happy and to have all citizens in agreement with my positions----that's just life. But, I was accused of "lying" to everyone in the State the other day regarding Amendment 3 and a potential pay raise for our public school teachers. First of all, I do not tell lies. I might get things wrong on occasion, but I do not deceive and I certainly am not LYING about the effects of Amendment 3.

Second, I'd like to say it is sad that entities---including some teacher unions and organizations are either purposefully distorting the truth about this important measure or are terribly misinformed.

AMENDMENT 3 is about giving our teachers a pay raise.
