Gumbo recipe part 2
After you follow the first part.
Make your roux.
Flour and oil and gumbo filet.

After this in a a pot put your fish stock and place all your protein in the stock and cook then add your roux.
Let cook till nice and semi thick and protein is cook.
Then add your rice and your ready to go.

I will be placing a video for this whole recipe in a couple of weeks

Gumbo Part One
recipe of the day
Items Qty
Shrimp shells 2 pounds
chicken bones 6 bones
carrot whole 4 each
bell pepper green 2 cut in half
red bell pepper 2 cut in half
onion white med 1 cut in quarters
water 1 gallon
salt and pepper 2 teaspoon
old bay spice 1 bag
Tony's Chach 2 Tbls
Gumbo file 1 teaspoon

Start water to boil then add all ingredients to water cook on low heat for 20 minutes. Let stand for 30 minutes then remove all veggies and shells and bones from wet mix.

next step Friday, Happy Thanksgiving

Recipe of the day.

Saute Trout

Qty. Item
2. Trout filet
1/2 tsp. Butter
1. Tsp. Garlic minced
2 Tbl. Lump crab meat
To taste salt and pepper
1/2 lemon squeeze for the juice
1/2 cup of flour

Directions
In a saute pan on low heat add butter while butter is melting dredge trout filet through the flour , then add to the melted butter cook till golden brown on both sides
Then add garlic and lemon juice and salt and pepper.
After remove trout filet add crab meat to the saute pan with left over lemon juice and seasoning cook crab meat then when crab meat is brown pour over filets and serve with rice and vegies.

Time to prep 15 minutes
Cook time 20 minutes low heat.

Whats up guys mike from snaggin hook here is a update on fishing
October flounder

In fall, flounders migrate from the backs of lakes and congregate in marsh areas. As temperatures drop they continue making their move towards the Gulf passes. In this movement, staging areas to search are channel edges and shorelines near channels. Top bait choices are live shrimp and crank bait.

Alright todays fishing report.
Galveston on the piers running reds off of dead shrimo and live mullet. Also sharks sre running around 4 feet deep.

Port aransas bull reds running in shallow water with live shrimp and live croaker and crab .

Matagorda bay we have snapper and bull reds running good in off shore action, shore action we have trout and reds. Fish are biting off croaker and live shrimp amd running off gold spoons.

San Luis pass.
Reds are running on shore with dead bait of any kind
Trout are running

Water temp is lookong very good around 85 amd weather looks nice till sunday night.

Todays tip make sure you are running a nice tight line when fishing offshore your weight should be around 15 -20 test line.

Recipe Of the day

Shrimp Bobbers
1 lbs of shrimp peeled and cleaned
12 fresh jalapenos cleaned and seeded
6 pieces of bacon
6 oz cream cheese
tooth picks

Directions:
clean and peel shrimp and put to the aside
cut open jalapenos and clean out the seeds once this is done add your cream cheese and place your shrimp inside the jalapeno after this close the jalapeno
Take your bacon and wrap the outside of the jalapeno with your bacon place toothpicks through the bacon, place on cooking sheet place in your oven at 450 and cook for about 10 to 15 minutes or until bacon and shrimp are cooked nice.

Reds are hitting very well off of galveston pier 61 off of live shrimp.

Bull Reds arw hitting in shallow water off of live mullet , croaker and live shrimp. Also hitting off of silver spoon.

Port o connor
Trout are hitting off of dead bait.
Reds are running shallow also hitting on live shrimp and dead and also crab.

Despite the rain that has hit Reds arw going crazy in the shallow water and early morning.

So tides are running alittle normal for low tide
Water temp is around 88 to 93.

So keep your line tight and see you next time.

Bull Red from Texas city D**e

Recipe of the day.
Oven shrimp
2 lbs of shrimp cleaned
1 Tbls minced garlic
10 small cherry tomatoes sliced
1 cup of rice
1/2 cup white wine
Salt and pepper for tatste

Oven temp 375
Time to cook 8 to 10 minutes

White rice
Cook for 12 minutes or till water is gone add butter to rice

In foil add your butter , white wine , shrimp, cherry tomatoes and garlic. Then add your salt and pepper tp mixture. In boiling water add your rice do not stir cover with lid or foil. Place foil in oven cook for 8 to minutes

After all is cooked remove foil from oven
Remove rice from pot add to plate then pour shrimp mix over rice .
