🎉 BIG NEWS, ROSEBUD! 🎉
Last night at our RAEA meeting, we officially kicked off the Rock Island Trail Fundraising Campaign — and what a night it was!
The 1.25-mile stretch of trail through the City of Rosebud is the final city-limit section in our area still to be completed, and thanks to an incredible show of support, we’re already off to a HUGE start.
✨
Of our $125,000 goal, the campaign launched with an initial $30,000 commitment, followed by an additional $6,000 in donations raised during last night’s meeting alone!
We are thrilled to announce partnerships with Friends of Rock Island Trail State Park (FoRIT) and Rock Island Trail East 24, two organizations responsible for completing city-limit trail sections across the state. Their experience and leadership will be instrumental in bringing this project to life here in Rosebud.
In collaboration with our Mayor, Shannon Grus, RAEA has also committed to maintaining the completed trail within city limits — including trash pickup and w**d control — helping ensure the trail stays beautiful without adding any additional financial burden to the City or its residents.
We were also honored to have Bruce Sassmann, our State Representative, in attendance to show his support for this important project.

This trail is more than a path — it’s an investment in Rosebud’s future, connection, and quality of life. 🚲🌿
Stay tuned for exciting fundraising events planned throughout the year as we continue working toward this important goal! This is just the beginning — and we can’t wait to share what’s next!
