Happy National Thrift Shop Day!
Since opening in 1991 as a prevocational training center, the Options Thrift Shop has continued to serve as a vital training ground where participants in our programs build essential employment, customer service, and life skills.
In this video, hear directly from Madelyn, one of our incredible Options residents, about what working and growing in this community means to her. You’ll also hear from Linda Longo, Community Resource Coordinator, who shares what makes the Options Thrift Shop such a special place.
“For more than 35 years, the Options Thrift Shop has been a welcoming part of our community. What makes our shop so special is that it’s about so much more than finding great treasures—it’s a place where individuals we support can build valuable vocational skills, gain confidence, and experience the pride that comes with being part of a team.
Our wonderful volunteers are also a huge part of what makes the shop so special. Every person who walks through our doors helps create a warm, supportive environment where everyone has a place and a purpose.
