Warehousing & Delivery

DISI provides receiving, inspection, and delivery of commercial furnishings. Our fully staffed warehouse is also capable of providing short-term and long-term storage. Furniture Installation

DISI provides the labor, expertise, and equipment to handle a single office or an entire corporate headquarters. This includes service and follow-up work. We can resolve problems requiring customizing of furniture for specific site conditions. Moving

With our “Move Management” services we will take physical inventories to determine quantity and condition of your existing furniture, make recommendations as to its usefulness, provide plans for the best use of your space, procure any needed parts or furniture additions, provide packing boxes and labels, and handle your physical move. We will develop schedules with all construction trades and technical support that may be involved with your project to ensure that your move takes place on time and with the least amount of interruptions. DISI has extensive experience in assisting facility managers in planning major rearrangements when there is an expansion or a downsizing within the company. Minimizing downtime and interruptions in the work place is “key” to our approach in operating efficiently and saving cost to our customers

Inventory Services

DISI can record and classify your existing furniture. We can customize our inventory specifications to meet your needs. This may include a written assessment and photographs. All data is computerized, therefore, updating the information is a simple task. Refurbishing Services

Through our division, Workspace Refurbishing Services (W.R.S.), we can enhance and extend the useful life of existing systems furniture as well as free-standing case goods and chairs. Refurbishing services include panel recovering, panel, and chair power cleaning, electrostatic painting, reupholstery of seating and repair or refinishing of wood furniture. Facility Maintenance and Service Program

Did you know that with regular maintenance of your office furniture its useful life can be extended by 50%? DISI will develop an on-going maintenance program geared to your companies’ specific needs. This program will address needed adjustments, repairs, cleaning, etc. Regularly scheduled visits allow for a preventative approach to service. With our range of services, we can maintain the value of your furniture by making sure it operates properly and continues to look as nice as it did when it was first installed. Experience

DISI is committed to assisting each employee in his or her personal and professional growth. We have developed an in-house training and orientation program that each new employee completes within their first ninety days of employment. Specific training sessions are held when we encounter a new product. Employees are sent to training seminars given by individual manufacturers whenever possible. We review our employee manual with each employee so they will understand what is expected of them and the potential for advancement within the company. Each employee is evaluated annually and given periodic personal reviews to further encourage and direct their development. Employee schedules are monitored and their assignments vary so that each employee develops skills within a wide range of products and services. Appearance and Conduct

We understand that it is imperative that the service personnel that report to a customer's office know what they are doing and must be efficient in getting the job done. We also feel it is essential that they present themselves professionally in their appearance and conduct. For that reason, DISI provides uniforms and a clothing allowance for our employees, and enforces a grooming and conduct code. You might want to sit down for this: A study by Curtin University in Australia found that, after two hours, standing desk users reported lower back and lower limb pain, as well as diminished mental reactiveness. Standing for such lengths of time can lead to swollen veins, which can endanger the heart. Office workers are still sitting too much, and that’s no good either.
