A dear friend recently requested me to make her an olive branch necklace. It is one of my favorite pieces! I loved it so much I made myself one.

The olive branch is first mentioned in Scripture when the dove returned to Noah's ark carrying an olive branch in its beak (Gen. 8:11). Since that time, the olive branch has been a symbol of “peace” to the world, and we often hear the expression, “extending an olive branch” to another person as a desire for peace. 🕊

Genesis 8:11
King James Version
11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.

The olive branch and tree itself has such an amazing history. It is utilized in many different techniques within the Bible and abounding in symbolical expressions.
