This journey kicked off on my 35th birthday. I came home from a work trip in Canada, thought we got robbed… but nope — my ex-wife had moved out, taken our three kids, and even jacked my cast iron skillet (still not over that). Seven months later, I was a **full-time Single Dad** who couldn’t travel for Field Service anymore, so I started painting curb numbers to make ends meet — and get the kids outside. Thanks to my Navy days (where we stenciled literally everything), my curb numbers looked great. Neighbors took notice, and next thing I knew, the “side hustle” was out-earning my day job. That same attention to detail I learned working on **radar systems, semiconductor tools, and water plants** found its way into my paintbrush… and eventually, into vinyl and print. After moving from Austin to DFW for a big semiconductor gig, I realized money wasn’t enough — **I wanted passion and purpose**. So I bet on myself. I invested in top-tier equipment, training, and a ton of late-night YouTube deep dives. I didn’t rush to advertise — I wanted to get it RIGHT first. Now, **Rock House is all in**.
