Hobby Stop Inc. was founded in May 1992. By Brothers Jim and Don Faris.

We were in a 2000 Sq. Ft. space for over 3 years until we moved in July 1995. We then sported a 3800 Sq Ft showroom and 3 R/C race tracks. Hobby Stop was a full line shop carrying R/C Aircraft, Cars, Boats, Model Rockets, Metal and Plastic Display Models, HO and N Gauge Trains, Science and More…

We Closed our Doors to Business March 30th 2019.
We appreciate all of our customers over the last 27 Years that have helped us grow to a Landmark in Rock Hill SC.

Thank you for finding “The Carolina’s Premier Hobby Shop”.
We have Closed for Business and Thank the many customers since 1992, who called us their home Hobby Stop.

Not only did we offer a vast array hobby supplies including tons of kits, parts and accessories but we also had some of the most knowledgeable staff in North and South Carolina.
In addition to a LARGE inventory of Radio Control Airplanes, Helicopters, Cars, Trucks and boats, we also had Model Trains, Science Projects and Supplies, Plastic models and White’s Electronic Metal Detectors.
We also Had 3 incredible race tracks! We had; The Grove Superspeedway, a 396 ft High Banked, Concrete Oval, The Grove Touring Track,a Concrete Touring Track in the infield of the Oval,
The Grove Off Road Challenge, our ever changing Dirt track full of Jumps and Bumps.
