Thanks for sharing our most successful First Friday yet! Looking forward to the next one π«π

This on November 7 from 5-8pm The Op Shop features the work of RITβs Visual Activism class. This exhibition arrives in a season of transformationβwhen voices rise to be heard, ballots are cast, and nature reminds us of the power in renewal.
Through weaving, stitching, and felting, students' acts of hand stitching translate the cycles of the natural world into acts of creative resistance. Each fiber piece embodies how words, like threads, can bind, mend, and spark change.
Visual Activism reflects a generation shaping our collective futureβone that understands both the fragility of our environment and its boundless potential to heal.
These hand stitched patches and fabric covered buttons will be sold at The Op Shop on November 7th, from 5-8PM. All proceeds from student work ( 60% of the sales) will be donated to Foodlink, as selected by class vote. The Visual Activism class is led by Professor Hinda Mandell, Ph. D. Hinda is passionate about prioritizing a DIY, materials-based approach, including as a thought tool in the University classroom.
