R Community Bikes (RCB) gives a HUGE thank you to Abundance food Coop for having us a the recipient of their monthly round-up program! RCB plans to use roundup funds received to purchase safety equipment, helmets, bells and reflectors for bikes our volunteers refurbish for distribution, free of charge, to Rochester's children and adults.

In addition, from June21-June27 Abundance is having a promotion where you can get a discount if you bike there to purchase some groceries!

Mark brought two bikes that needed some repair to the Beechwood offsite this week. He wanted the bikes to be fixed up so that he could give them to some of his senior citizen neighbors, for transportation and recreation. We're glad that we could assist. We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of our amazing community partners!

The Rotary Club of Penfield recently presented a financial donation to two of our dedicated volunteers, Jim Walter and Brent Williams.

Jim also had the wonderful opportunity to speak to the Club, sharing more about the impact and mission of R Community Bikes.

A special thank you to Club President Tara DuMont for presenting the donation and for her continued partnership in hosting our annual bike drive every fall.

Mark your calendars! This year’s drive is coming up on October 3rd.
