Long post ahead-read to the end!
We want to alert you about some changes at Hipocampo over the next few weeks. But first, here’s the story; Pamela and Gabriel summited Mt. Marcy in the ADK last week! After enjoying a spectacular view and celebrating with great excitement, Pamela slipped on a rock while descending and broke her ankle in three places! The break was so bad that she had to be lifted off the mountain. Huge thanks to fellow climbers, ADK steward, Park Rangers, Pilots and AMC medical staff-and very importantly, Gabriel’s quick thinking to help keep Pamela safe. For the next few weeks, Henry will be in charge of the store while Pamela is recovering from surgery to get her ankle working again. New hours will be Wednesday through Friday noon to six, and Saturday ten to four. Pamela will continue to do special orders and website work from home. Hey Everyone!!
So much happening this Saturday!! Be sure to come by Hipocampo while at the Wedge Fest and come on by as part of the amazing ROC Book Crawl !

Unfortunately, Pamela was injured on a hike in the ADKs, and won't be able to be at the bookstore tomorrow!! So Henry is holding down the fort himself. So come on by, check out our wonderfully curated selection, and send Henry positive energy as he takes on South Wedge Fest alone! (he needs a superhero cape😍).
