It is with tears in my eyes and a heavy heart that I turn the lock on the door one final time and walk away. This journey started more than sixteen years ago with hope, fear of failure, big dreams, and determination. Through the years, most of those feeling never went away. Many times working into the wee hours of the morning and often working seven days a week. Late nights at auctions, cleaning out estates, loading and unloading trucks and trailers, cleaning merchandise, cleaning the shop only to be ready to open the shop doors by 9:00 the next day.
Most of you know that we sold the building and today was our last day for T & T. This was a tough decision to make for us as it has been such a big part of our lives for so long. We are forever grateful for the friends and the memories that we have made along the way.
A HUGE thank you to my family and friends because without your love and support none of this would have ever become reality.
-Mom You are My Rock! Always there for me no matter what.
-Felicia Hardest working woman I have ever met and always kept me in line. Your attention to detail is what has made us shine.
-Marissa Thank you for putting up with all the boring late nights at auctions and all of your help and understanding when I couldn't always be present for you.
-Dad Your words of encouragement and all the repairs that you have done for us over the years. Things just have not been the same around here since you passed.
-Aunt Donna and John All of the candy to keep me going during the day. Your daily visits. Always there to help me move things around.
-Aunt Sue and Paul You know what you did and I will be forever grateful!
-Bert There isn't anything you can't fix.
-Dave I miss your daily visits, our talks, and your sarcasm. RIP.
I love you all!
To our customers. I wish that I could thank you all individually. Through the years, I am grateful for all of the friendships that I have made along the way. When I started this business, I did it to make a living and provide for my family by doing something that I enjoyed and thanks to you I accomplished that. What I did not expect was how rich that I would get by meeting all of the great customers that I was fortunate enough to meet along the way.
Nothing made me happier than to see your happy faces as you smiled going out the door with your rare piece that you found or the stories you might come back to tell of how nice that new piece of furniture looks in your house.
Many of you have asked if I am going to open again at another location. I am sorry to say, no. My body is getting a bit worn out from moving furniture and the daily grind that running a shop requires. It has been a good run but it's time to think about what the next chapter will bring. I don't have any have any plans at this point, but I'm looking forward to my next adventure.
To all of you, I am honored and humbled for your support and words of encouragement. Thank you for letting me live my dream.
Farewell!
Brian
