This past Saturday I went to home Depot in Penfield and directly over to Burger King for lunch and I was sitting in my truck eating lunch and was getting ready to go and my truck wouldn't start..
I thought it was my battery so I called my fiance to bring me a jumper box which she did and it didn't fix it..
There was an advanced auto right next to me so I walked over there and spoke to a gentleman named Bert and he was very willing to come out and help me diagnose what was going on.. he had said my battery didn't look good but when he put the jumper box on the truck started.. so I drove over in front of his store with my truck running and then shut it off and he put a new battery in it. I went to start it, same thing.. I thought well I guess it wasn't the battery must be the starter.. so I had him sell me a new starter and I was going to have to put it in there in the driveway and he said I had till 9:00 or I could keep the truck there all night if necessary..
So I rolled up my sleeves and got under the truck and I hear a voice and it said what are you doing? I said, well I guess I get putting a starter in.. he said to me I work for Ford I do it all day long do you want me to help you?
I thought who is this person? An angel... He didn't quite look like an angel that I thought an angel would look like he had work clothes on a ponytail rough hands but an angel he was!!!!
This gentleman climbed down under my truck and I felt like I was a nurse handing a doctor instruments as he would ask me for each tool and eventually got my starter done and in the middle of it told me. "Don't worry I'm not going to leave you stranded"
I found out his name was Eric and I thought I recognized him from Debbies Supply and now he was working at Van Bortel Ford also.
I was in such a mess, all I could think about is having the truck towed, having it sit at the mechanics for so many days not being able to do any of my appointments not making any money wasn't a good situation.
This gentleman had no idea of my situation he jumped right in and saved the day..
I went to Eric's employment and compensated him with a generous gift card and 4 $5 lottery tickets and told him that I hope he was as lucky with those tickets as I was in meeting him.
Oh and do you know angels can swear? LOL
I guess being an angel doesn't relieve you you of the stress of working on dirty tuff stuff for people you don't know... LOL
I believe in paying it forward and now you should also, because you never know when you're going to need an angel or when they're going to appear...:)
