Wanted to sincerely thank everyone who has been part of this journey (made up of myriad little journeys). With regard to Akimbo alone, it was made up of three grand openings / renovations in just four years. And while I love to work hard and dream and plan, BOY that's a lot of work 😊
Thank you to everyone coming in and seeing us off with dignity and warmth. Thank you for the Small Business Saturday crowd and the folks who came through last Saturday. This last week is a crucial final push to wrapping up our year. Every purchase lightens the burden of bills and debts that follow closing up. And mostly, it's a chance to say "see you next time" [at a pop up and around town]!

Whatever you do, keep supporting small bookstores, libraries, and small presses. Keep vital community spaces alive. Boycott Amazon and big box stores that lobby politicians and make our society one we haven't dreamed together and divide us. Support local authors. And read as much as you can. ❤️
Yes, you can still place a special order if you don't need it by Xmas and if you plan to pick up by mid January!
