Thank you to our fellow plant lovers and wonderful customers who have helped us get a great start to our little business - and this weekend helped us have a fantastic 4-day sale! Many great plant tips and stories were shared, we helped save a few of your plant buddies from their ailments, and lots of dirtlings went home with happy new plant parents. Thank you for giving us our storefront start in the most adorable plant house. We'll take a break for a big renovation and let you know what's in store for later this summer. Our 4-day Construction Clearance begins Thurs. June 20! We are SO grateful we've gotten to partner with to bring our little plant shop to life, and now everyone’s favorite vegan cafe owner is getting creative (again!) and has something cool in store for the 'plant house' space. Dirtlings will be back later this summer with a new look and different format, but for now, get your plant fix at super special prices through Sunday, June 23! Construction Sale Announcement! Our little plant shop is getting a makeover and making room for something new. While we are excited for the possibilities it will offer, we need to find our lovely Dirtlings safe homes quickly before renovations start! Three patio-friendly palms for summer that will adapt well to your house when fall arrives: left- Chinese Fan Palm. Will get tall, slender arching branches in a distinctive fan shape. Likes to dry out between waterings. Protect from direct, hot sun. MIDDLE: Cat Palm- This guy will get taller arching fronds, and the slender shape is a space saver indoors. He's a a lot of fun for being quicker growing and can adapt to full sun, although will need protection from high summer direct sun. Right: Bella Palm- This plant buddy likes filtered light, and does great in dappled light on the deck. It'll crisp right up in hot sun, but does like to dry out between waterings. The Bella Palm is more bushy than tall. We chose these dirtlings for being easy-going and forgiving, well suited for both outdoors and indoors, and for their ability to cause maximum plant joy. Visit them at 828 7th St NW- between and the pickleball courts. Open 11-3 SAT June 8.
