We got a good start at filling up our new space. We planted 1,394 plants this weekend! Not quite 2,000 but still respectable and as always we get waylaid by other small projects. We were also fighting overgrown seedlings that were fighting back and time consuming to pull apart.

Pipevine Swallowtails are masters at finding the baby plants! This one is trying to find the perfect plant to lay eggs on. We have to keep a sharp eye out and remove them because they will strip our little plants over night! Luckily I have a massive plant at home to transfer them to.

Our goal is to plant 2,000 plants this weekend! Will we make it??? I will let you know tomorrow 😄

Spent yesterday sticking cactus until the rain started. I got about half way through 😅. That is one job I prefer to do all in one day but Mother Nature is the boss! We have a potting area under cover but it is too hard to transport them to their growing area without them flipping out of the pots.

I planted Common Milkweed on a huge hillside of rich soil and the flowers are the size of baseballs and the stems are as big a round as my thumb! They are spreading like crazy and this is exactly what I wanted 😄

I was eating black raspberries off the plants tonight, they are SO good! They also have a ton of anti cancer properties...
