Here's a fun game for kids of all ages. You have piles of different costume items. Funny glasses in one pile, scarves/and boas, costume necklaces/or fake mustaches and costume hats in the other piles. Here's how you play. You roll a dice! 1=put on funny glasses, 2=nothing this turn, 3=put on scarf or boa, 4=put on mustache or necklace, 5=put on hat, 6=take off one piece of costume. At the end of 10 rounds, the person with the most costume items wins the prize. Great way to change a frown into a smile. Although... the losers could frown. 🤔🤫 How about a large candy bar for the main winner and snack size candy bars for the good sports? 😁

My nephew was talking about how he has to deal with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. We all have disorders of one kind or another. I'm becoming more relaxed about mine as I age. I've never been able to memorize and have had to relearn things over and over again. I can't recite church memorized info. It use to drive me crazy when large groups would stand to recite some verse and I stood there clueless after years of trying. Now I just smile when somebody in a class tells me I have to memorize something. I tell them about my handicap and move on without any guilt whatsoever. It took me forever to realize I have a handicap! We all have different talents for different reasons and different handicaps for different reasons. I'm learning to enjoy mine and I hope you can learn to enjoy yours. It's so much easier focusing on what we can do when we lose the guilt over the things we can't do.

When was the last time you had a safe girl's slumber party at grandma's house? Safe means no boys allowed. The toe nail polish game was fun. You roll a die and have six different colors of polish coordinated with each number on the die. Then you paint each toenail in succession with the roll of the die. I laughed when my granddaughter told me I have old feet! Of course we had healthy snacks for dinner before going to the unhealthy ice cream parlor and the little ones actually ate the food. I was able to create the pink tent with 8 pink plastic table covers from the dollar store. We used notebook clips to attach the covers to our canopy we use for the beach. It was a fun idea and the girls loved the atmosphere! Hang a few Christmas strands and it becomes magical!
