Custom Flower Arrangements and Gifts

10/20/2026

We complain about not enough eating-out choices right here in Rison ….well…. this Saturday is an opportunity to treat yourself to a special Italian dinner in the McMurtrey House at Pioneer Village AND support this fundraising event! Call or go by the Herald office to make your reservation. Deadline is today! Hope to see you there!

The next few days are going to be difficult, if maybe not impossible, to fit in all that needs to get accomplished including trying to find out why my big flower cooler a/c unit is blowing warm air! So….the shop will be closed for in-person shopping and answering the phone will likely be limited as well. If you’re placing an order for next week or for homecoming please send a text to 520-490-5903 and I’ll get back to you as I’m able. I’m sorry!!💕

Rison folks, please don’t wait until the last minute to order fresh flowers for homecoming! My pre-order goes to my supplier by 6a.m. on Mondays and hope what I need comes in on the truck to the warehouse. With lots of other schools having homecoming the same week as ours flower selection may be limited. Don’t be disappointed because orders placed on Thursday or Friday may not be able to be filled!

The Pioneer Village at Rison serves as a hub for the Great Arkansas Junk Hunt which will be next week, September 24,25 and 26. There is still booth space available. My shop will be closed those days for walk-in customers (phone orders can be called to 870-890-4198) while I help in our concession area. Come check out the vendors and stop by for a snack, a drink or lunch. Support Pioneer Village fundraisers!

Charlie Kirk was a man unafraid and unembarrassed to share his faith and his beliefs. We are reminded today, one year since his tragic death, that we can disagree and have different political and religious beliefs but violence isn’t the answer. I thank God for the country we live in and the freedom we have to worship openly, travel freely, criticize our leaders, protect ourselves and our property and the many other freedoms we enjoy. Never forget that our freedoms can be lost. I have these shirts available at a special price today in memory of Charlie.

I’m pretty bummed I didn’t get to do my beach trip during Labor Day week because of sciatica flare-up, but there will be another opportunity! Back to work and starting new in-shop hours…8 a.m. to 2 p.m. As mentioned in previous post, even if I’m not “in shop”, I’m available by phone for orders, to make appointments or answer questions. Thanks for understanding as I make adjustments to accommodate what my body will allow me to do!💕

Labor Day weekend is starting early this year! The shop will be closed September 1st through September 7th for vacation. Everyone have a good week and safe long holiday weekend. I hope to come back from the beach energized and ready to take on new challenges!!

This may be a long post and somewhat personal, but I know my friends and customers will understand.

As I approach another birthday there seem to be new challenges every day with a body that just isn’t as young as it used to be. I want to continue to provide a service to our community but in order to do that, plus contribute to various volunteer efforts I’m passionate about, I feel some changes have to be made. Starting September 8th the shop will be open from 8am til 2pm, other hours by appointment. Since I’m a one person operation there could be instances I’m not in the shop even during those hours, so it may be good to call before you come to make sure I’m here. I will take phone or website orders for same day delivery until noon but orders for next day or future orders can be called in until 6pm.

I’m working on a new website that I hope will be online soon and have available products pictured so customers will be able to place orders for delivery. In the meantime please know I value your support as I make adjustments to my business and life. 💕

To my in- shop customers….. I’ll be away from the shop this afternoon for a Dr. appointment but can take your order by phone. Probably not able to take orders for delivery today…. Sorry for the inconvenience! As always, thanks for shopping local!💕
