The soft opening countdown is officially on, and we are spending every spare second wrangling chaos into magic before Sunday. And we wouldn’t have it any other way 🫶

Ready or not… Fern & Fable is opening our doors for a SOFT OPENING this Sunday, 5/24! 🌿📚

Truthfully? There are still approximately 2,849,592 things left on our to-do list 😂

But at some point, you just have to go for it.

The shelves are filling up, the cozy vibes are settling in, and we are SO excited to finally welcome you into the little space we’ve been pouring our hearts into over these past weeks 🥹

Who says we can’t do both! 😎

Not pictured, we had breakfast from Rise 'N Grind Cafe (don’t sleep on the Berry Patch iced tea - it’s so good)!

We picked up some new soaps from Belle's Acres - it’s so hard to choose between scents!

And we couldn’t help but grab a new fern from Orchard Hill Plant Co. when we saw these new Americana pots! 🇺🇸

And of course, we couldn’t let the day pass by without a Tropical Açaí bowl from Garden Girl (so refreshing especially on a warm day)!

On top of all that, we got lots done in the shop today.. I think they call that a win-win 🫶

A little BTS action 👀

If you guessed green for the color on the walls of our little bookshop… you were right! 💚

Painting is done, furniture is getting situated, curtains are going up, and little by little Fern & Fable is starting to feel like a cozy home away from home 🥹📚

Next up? Filling the shelves with books, bookish accessories, gifts, curiosities, and all the cozy little details we’ve been dreaming about!

Energy levels are low, but excitement levels are HIGH - and the excitement is taking over 😁

We’re hoping to announce our opening date within the next week or so… stay tuned!! 👀🌿

Our two tiny shop geese 🪿✨

Jess has been the unofficial family goose enabler for years now (everyone in the family has their own porch goose at this point 😂), so we knew we had to find a way to bring a little goose energy into Fern & Fable too.

Thankfully, the incredibly talented local maker who creates the full-sized geese also has a mini mold… and we are OBSESSED. How freaking cute are they?! 😭

Now we just need names for these two little shopkeepers 👀
