Last summer we downsized and I lost my beautiful big sewing studio. It was time though. My husband and I were living in a 4000 square-foot house and we were empty nesters. We had built the house to accommodate my aging, elderly and sick father, who lived in the downstairs in law suite. Plus, we had had four children. So I am back to sewing in a basement like I was when our children were little and we had a much smaller house. I am here to tell you that I can be happy sewing any place even if I had to sew in a closet. So for all of you folks out there that are sewing in conditions that are less than phenomenal, which is most of us. I say you can make the most gorgeous creations wherever you are. The creativity comes from your heart and from your head not from your physical space. And as long as I have a roof over my head, people who love me and my golden retriever next to me I can accomplish anything.

How perfect can it get! Are you a beginner or experienced quilter? For a beginner it’s a tiny microcosm of what goes in to quilting. It’s perfect if you’re experienced!
