Watch your step when you’re in the dove fields, especially when you’re reaching down to pick up birds! We share the fields with several venomous snakes, unfortunately, along with rattlesnakes. Yikes!

South Zone dove hunters! We know you are impatiently waiting for your regular season to open on Sept. 14, but the good news is that TOMORROW kicks off your Special White-winged Dove Days! SWWDD are Sept. 5-7, 12th, and the 13th. Note, shooting hours for SWWDD are noon to sunset. Check Texas Parks and Wildlife website or outdoor annual app for more information. See y’all in the white wing fields tomorrow!
