Our base is made from aluminum and a stainless steel 1/2-inch bolt so there are no parts that will wear out or break. Once the Laid Back Fishing base is mounted on your boat (always mount the base so that the bolt is to your left from where you will be fishing), you can adjust the angle of your

fishing rod with the bolt on the left side. There is no angle that you can't fish with this base because the base itself can be mounted at any angle on your boat.
