The winner of the beanies goes to Shower Power! Shower Power is an organization in Jackson, MS that helps restore dignity to people who are experiencing homelessness. A few years ago, I started knitting by-machine beanies in the summer. I know, who in the South needs a beanie in the summer? One day, I had a few in my car and saw a man and his dog with a sign. I stopped and offered him and his dog a beanie. I let him pick the one he wanted, and he told me no one had ever given him a choice of anything. After meeting that man, I started making more and passing them out. If you have any yarn or would like to donate yarn, please DM me, and I will gladly pick it up. God is good! 🤍🤍🤍
