DAY 4 — THE LAYOUT IS DONE! 🧵🍼👑
After 3 full totes of baby clothes, SO much cutting, ironing, measuring, organizing, and rearranging… the layout is officially finished! 🙌🏼😭❤️
Now we’re ready for the exciting part — quilting and binding! 🧵✨ I cannot WAIT to see this entire KING-size memory quilt come together!
And PLEASE don’t mind my crazy dance moves in this video. 😂💃🏼 I’m excited, okay?! I haven’t danced in YEARS and apparently finishing a quilt layout brought out my inner dancer. 🤣🕺🏼
This quilt is being made from baby clothes that hold years of memories — little outfits, prints, patterns, sayings, and pieces that might otherwise sit packed away in totes. Instead, they’re being turned into something that can be used, loved, and cherished for years to come. 🥹❤️
One of my favorite things about what I do is taking clothing that has sentimental value and creating something completely unique from it. I can make memory quilts from pretty much ANY type of clothing — baby clothes, T-shirts, jerseys, uniforms, sweatshirts, work shirts, sports clothing, and those special pieces you just can’t bring yourself to get rid of.
I’m a small business and a one-woman quilting operation, so every quilt is personally cut, pieced, quilted, and finished by ME. 🥰 Every quilt gets my time, care, and attention to detail from start to finish.
And this one? IT’S HUGE! 👑
