Coconuts For Crochet Crochet accessories, jewelry, home decor, and more hand made by moi. How did I get here? My paternal grandma was a master of crochet.

She taught me the basics when I was a fairly uninterested teen. I made a few simple projects then lost interest just as a typical teen-ager would. I worked in the business world for many years. However, I had always had an interest in working in the medical field. When I turned 40, I decided it was time to make a change in life and go after my dream. I went to college, earned my degree in Medical

Assisting, and enjoyed a very rewarding career working for a Rheumatologist. A few years ago I found out I had an autoimmune disorder called Lupus. I was able to continue working until early this year and then had to medically retire. To relieve my boredom due to being home 24/7, I decided to pick up my rusty crochet needle and see what I could do. It wasn't long until I figured out that I had inherited my grandma's passion for crochet. Creating beautiful items from a strand of yarn is marveling. I had quite the time trying to figure out a name for my shop. I absolutely adore the Florida Keys, having visited there many, many times. While I envisioning the palm trees, a picture of a coconut appeared in my head. Then the proverbial lightening struck in my head and lo and behold we have Coconuts for Crochet!! I hope you like the items I have to offer, and know that I feel my grandma's love with every stitch I make.

The Etsy shop is temporarily down as I am adjusting inventory for fall. Right now I have wash/dish cloths in stock & these are listed on eBay. My seller ID is tammy-64. I also have some clothing listed there, as well. I am currently working on a project for a new baby that's on the way, then will be turning my attention to building boot cuff inventory. I can't believe fall is just a couple of months away!! I am also taking orders for custom projects, so if you have something special in mind, please let me know!
