Do you see the white growth on the bees legs? That "white growth" is completely normal! Texas sage (often called Cenizo) produces a very pale, bright-white pollen. When bees forage, they pack this into dense, distinct balls on their hind legs to carry back to the hive, which can look like white growths or white "pants". Our Texas sage are in full bloom and the bees are loving it!

Erin has some amazing knowledge about Gulf Fritillary butterflies and their one & only host plant: the Passion Flower Vine (Passiflora). 🌿

Did you know? Without this specific vine, these bright orange beauties couldn’t complete their life cycle. It’s where they lay eggs, where caterpillars munch, and where the magic of metamorphosis begins. ✨
