Finally getting around to posting a few BTS moments of the Shrine to Motherhood exhibition in collaboration with .watkins.iii 💐

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared stories, and contributed to the doula program. Your generosity made the night mean something beyond the walls of the exhibition.

The cameras were rolling, and we’ll have more to share soon. Stay tuned for the video :)))

Tomorrow at the Shrine to Motherhood exhibition, I will have a limited quantity of arrangements (6) available for purchase. All proceeds will go towards the doula certification program. This is my only Mother’s Day offering this year, so if you would like one, come out to the show!

New branding!!! Finally have something that feels like me. .co nailed it— taking something that’s always lived in my head (and hands) and giving it a thoughtful home.

The birds are a nod to my two pet parakeets, my tiny muses. But also to foraging… the slow, curious act of gathering things that don’t belong together until they do.

This Mother’s Day weekend, I’m so honored to collaborate with artist Haywood Watkins III to present Shrine To Motherhood, a one-night-only exhibition and fundraiser. 💐

Each year, Black women die from pregnancy-related complications at a rate three times higher than that of white women, an estimated 250+ deaths. Shrine to Motherhood, an installation by Haywood Watkins III in collaboration with Secret Flowers, responds with more than 1,000 flowers wrapped as Mother’s Day bouquets, resting together as a makeshift memorial. A gesture of love repurposed into an act of mourning.

• Donations support Virginia Union University’s Doula Certification Program, the first of its kind at an HBCU in Virginia—training culturally competent doulas to protect and uplift Black families.
• I will also be selling a limited quantity of arrangements (my only Mother’s Fay offering) at the exhibition, with proceeds going towards the Doula Certification Program
