Older children can take on the challenge of two Landscape Structures Inc. Super Netplex® towers, while younger kids have their own dedicated space on the Hedra® Scout structure, designed specifically for ages 2-5. Throughout the playground, families will also find favorites like the Global Motion®, We-Saw®, and OmniSpin®, giving kids plenty of opportunities for active, social play.

We’re excited to officially welcome Chris Escoto to the Whirlix team as our new Vice President of Operations!

Chris brings more than 12 years of public sector experience in parks and recreation, including his time with the City of Denton and City of Kyle. His background spans park planning, recreation programming, park operations, capital project delivery, and organizational leadership, giving him firsthand experience with what it takes to move community projects from an idea to implementation.

Throughout his career, Chris has secured approximately $14 million in grant funding and led multimillion-dollar park, trail, recreation, and public space projects across Texas.

We’re excited for the experience and perspective Chris brings to Whirlix and are proud to have him as part of our team. Help us give Chris a warm welcome!

Playgrounds are designed for more than just fun. They’re designed to support how kids grow, learn, and develop at different stages of childhood.

For ages 2–5, play often focuses on building confidence through sensory exploration, imaginative play, motor skill development, and manageable challenges. For ages 5–12, playgrounds can introduce more height, climbing, problem solving, physical challenge, and opportunities for independence and managed risk.

Understanding these developmental differences can help create playgrounds that keep kids engaged while giving them opportunities to build new skills as they grow.

Arlington has a brand new place to climb, explore, and play!

Opened in June 2026, Al Rollins Park is a new 2.4-acre community park located next to the Southwest Branch Public Library in Arlington, TX. With bright colors, exciting climbing challenges, and plenty of ways to play, this new space gives local families even more opportunities to get outside and stay active.

The playground puts climbing, net play, and challenge front and center with the Landscape Structures Volo™ and Quantis® 8.2 structures. Kids can climb, balance, navigate nets, and test their skills before exploring even more play throughout the park.

Freestanding favorites like the We-Saw®, We-Go-Round®, Oodle® Swing, and spinners add opportunities for social and group play, while a turf berm introduces graduated challenge and gives kids another way to climb, move, and explore the space.

We're incredibly grateful to our partners at Parkhill and the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department for their collaboration throughout this project. We're proud to have played a role in creating a new community space that honors the legacy of Al Rollins, an influential leader who played an important role in Arlington's early growth.
