Rug hooking provides a calm feeling for me from start to finish. I can immerse myself in the designing, preparing the linen pattern and cutting the wool and then the hooking. I’m now sewing on the binding which in this case is a striped wool I’m sewing on by hand. I actually made this rug to go on a very long primitive bench. Time to come up with a new design.. maybe something for Spring!

Progress on my rug runner started a few days ago. So cold here in northern WI I choose to stay inside cutting, organizing and hooking wool! We are in the deep freeze of winter for sure. I loose myself in the process and find it soothes the soul. Thank a sheep and the farmers who raise them today!

Almost 8 inches of snow yesterday transformed the backyard into a winter wonderland. I felt like stitching a frosty guy onto an old quilt piece that was my grandmas. ❄☃️😍💗

A warm winters evening around the house and view outside after a good snowfall. Family Christmas and celebrating a couple Birthdays this weekend here. Hope you all are enjoying these days of preparing for the holidays.
