Two years ago we opened the doors with a simple goal: build a fly shop that feels like home for anglers of every skill level.

Since then, you’ve supported local business, conservation efforts, fly tying nights, bad fishing reports, good fishing reports, and plenty of donut Saturday’s.

Future Fly Fishers is Back!

We’re excited to partner with the Upper Snake River Fly Fishers for the 2nd Annual Future Fly Fishers Youth Program!

If you know a young angler who loves the outdoors, or one who just needs a reason to put down the screen and pick up a fly rod, this is the perfect opportunity.

Over two days, participants will learn:
Fly Tying
Knots & Rigging
Casting Skills
Bank Fishing Techniques
Drift Boat Safety
On-Water Fishing

One of the best parts of fly fishing is passing it on to the next generation. This program is designed to build skills, confidence, conservation ethics, and friendships that can last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to the volunteers, sponsors, and members who make events like this possible. We’re proud to be part of it.

At the end of the week, an unbiased judge (someone with zero emotional attachment to your “biggest fish ever”) will pick the winner.

HELP WANTED

Back Cast Fly Co is looking for a seasonal part-time human…

The deal:
* Weekday availability (10 AM – 3 PM) 2 days per week, Tuesday - Thursday.
* Must actually fly fish (not just own a sticker)
* Must understand fly tying
* Bonus points if you’re an active tier (we can tell… don’t lie)

What you’ll be doing:
Talking fishing, slinging gear, pretending you didn’t just spend your paycheck on flies, and helping customers make slightly better bad decisions.

If you know your way around a vise, can match and stay current with hatches and don’t mind talking fishing for hours… you’ll be a great fit.

Serious applicants:
