After 17 years on Lake Anne, I am closing the shop at the end of September. It's been a long run, with lots of breaking chocolate, tasting wine, printing postage, and making friends. At the moment, the property owner is looking for someone to lease the property; ideally, someone will take over the shop and continue to offer local art and a Postal Unit to the community. We’ll make chocolate for the next week and the Contract Postal Unit will continue to operate through September 21st. We'll start liquidating furnishings in mid-September, so stop in to see if there's a shelf or counter you'd like.

It's been great working with you over these many years. The next few weeks will be challenging, but your support and that of the many customers who have become friends will help. Many thanks to those very special people who have helped make Chesapeake Chocolates a place full of good smells, tastes, and memories.

Everyone at Lake Anne's own Chesapeake Chocolates will be busy on Saturday! We will be hosting a free wine tasting from 11-2, featuring two Virginia wines, one that we will serve as a sangria. We are introducing our kunafa truffle, with pistachio cream and crispy pastry. And we will be cheering for the SPARC boat (and all of their competitors) as they race to support the Reston Museum. Join us for the Cardboard Boat Regatta and cheer for our community!
