You may have already seen the exciting news: Deputy Miranda Hands was recently honored by the Department as Deputy of the Quarter for the 1st Quarter of 2026!
From her position as a patrol deputy, Deputy Hands has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty by providing valuable assistance to the investigations division. She has stepped up on multiple occasions to assist with s*x offender compliance operations and numerous other assignments outside of her normal patrol responsibilities.
Around the Sheriffโs Office, Deputy Hands has become known for her professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. Her reports are consistently thorough and complete, providing detectives with a strong foundation to begin investigations and helping ensure cases move forward efficiently and effectively. That level of dedication and initiative does not go unnoticed.
The Newton County Sheriffโs Office is fortunate to have deputies like Miranda Hands who are willing to step in wherever needed and serve the citizens of Newton County with excellence and integrity.
