Further kit progress on the 14' version outside braced boxcar. The doors will be positionable, and the roof can be made removeable. Next will be grab irons, doors and hardware, and a roof level brake wheel. The boards are individual/cut through, but supported as sheets with hidden connecting parts, so you can get a nice finescale appearance with easier assembly.

At last - I am close to having a 2 truck frame kit design finalized. This will open up many more options for rolling stock kits, so this is something I am happy to see getting close to the finish line. These will share several attributes with the current rigid wheelbase short car kits in that they will work for both On2 and On30, have hardware assembled using machine screws, and are pretty easy to build; a full flatcar takes about 30 minutes to get together. These are again based on 2' gauge equipment, and thus are 6' wide. The initial set of releases looks like it will include flats, high (4' tall sides) gondolas, and outside braced boxcars (full length, not the partial length style as in the photo) in 14' and 18' lengths for each style.

All vehicles are true 1:48 scale and have super detailed frames, engines, bracing, brake rigging, interiors, and working headlight provisions (electronics/LED's not included).

Although these should be considered advanced level model kits, they are not unreasonably difficult to put together by highly detailed model standards, requiring mostly patience and a good pair of tweezers.
