We are sad to announce that Wasting Arrows will be permanently closing on May 31st 2023. We never fully recovered from being shut down during the pandemic and with the rising costs, competition and inflation our business model no longer works. This wasn’t an easy decision to make. We dearly love our archery community, our students and our customers. The last two years have been a struggle and we just cannot continue on like this.
We are choosing to focus on our successes rather than our failures. We are very proud to have brought our love of archery to Reno. Over the last 11 years we’ve literally taught thousands of people how to shoot a bow. We’ve had hundreds of local kids in our classes and camps. Our youth travelling team has dominated the field in the State and Local archery tournaments. Our Team has competed all over the country. We have coached 7 local youths to podium finishes in National Championships and even had one archer ranked as the best archer in the country in her age category. We have sponsored countless local charity fundraisers, we gave gift certificates to local schools, churches, wildlife conservation groups, veterans associations and more. We sponsored archery tournaments and youth sports. People have met in our shop, fallen in love, married and had children. Our goal when we started Wasting Arrows was to share our love of archery with Northern Nevada and create a community where people could safely learn to shoot with quality instruction. Most of all we wanted people to love and enjoy the sport of archery. In that we were very successful.
We will be having a going out of business sale. Starting today everything in the store is 15% off. We still have the best archery gear available. If you or anyone you know is looking to get a new bow or new equipment please come on into the shop! We will also be selling all our range equipment and supplies. As these are needed to run the business they will be available after we close the shop but are going to be sold on a first come first serve basis so if you are interested in anything please let us know right away.
