So glad this thing is done! She looks so much better than when I first got my hands on her.

Was brought in and someone had tried to refinish and relic it so we stripped her down and did a complete refinish. The top gold we went with a darker color to replicate how it would have aged in a smokey bar.

Finally got this project done!!!

Was originally a black 2003 Squire Custom Telecaster which I stripped and modified the body. Allparts Japan made neck (swapped the inlays with MOP) and stainless steel medium jumbo frets.

We used Stew Mac medium brown grain filler.
Stained the body and neck with Old Masters Natural Tint Base Stain.
Gloss parts were sprayed with Cardinal Nitro Cellulose Lacquer the Satin Neck was sprayed with Watco Satin Lacquer.

Buffed it out on a pedestal buffing wheel using solid buffing compounds.

Hardware is Babicz bridge, Gibson BurstBucker Pro set wired up with series/parallel push push pots and tones are wired 50s style with 473 orange drops.

Have a project in mind and don't think it can be done? Think again!

Talk about intricate... this was made by hand and it shows some real craftsmanship.
