The Lucky Star at The Vassar House is the melding of 2 businesses that complimented eachother so completely that we pooled resources and moved in under one roof!
The combined effort blends our mutual love for American antiques, themes, genres and styles!
As our country celebrates its 250th birthday we marvel at the relative short period of time that true American antiques, primitives and vintage goods have existed, in the scheme of the world. Their slice of the antiquities pie is but a sliver and as time marches on, their progressive rarity will become ever more evident.
As Americans, we may take for granted those things we have seen passed down through our own lineages and view them as, quote unquote, "common" fair. But you will never see container after container of American antiques brought in by the thousands like you do with so many Euro and/or Asian goods, what with their breadth and millennia of items to pull from.
American Antiques are bound to be a wise investment, as their timeframe was short, their quantities are finite and with each passing generation, their lifespan shrinks ❤️🇺🇲
