I found myself dwelling on “the heart” last night. The literal lifeblood of all of us - it is an anatomical necessity and philosophical mystery. It can be messy, ugly and beautiful all at the same time. So I drew an anatomical heart, so well worn it has been stitched back up from every direction and the cartoon hearts I filled with swirls of resin that felt more real - white bursts of breath and black embers
