Yellow isn’t my favorite color, but it is beautiful in the spring. 💛🌼🌝

It’s a nice time of year to bring out old favorites, like the wood carving of the yellow finch, a treasure from Jeff’s grandfather’s collection.

I am not typically a glassware person - I lean toward plastics these days- but I am mesmerized by this beautiful emerald green.

These are Anchor Hocking Inspiration salad bowls drip drying in my dish drainer.

I catch myself admiring them and pretending I will be someone I am not: a frequent hostess.

I look at these lovely serving pieces and think “Oh! Potato salad or shrimp salad would look so beautiful in these… I should keep these and have everyone over…”

Then my introversion surges back and I realize it’ll never happen.

For now I will enjoy them, hold them up to the sunshine streaming in the kitchen window and dream of summer luncheons.
