We have SOOOOO many books! You'll find hundreds to choose from in front of the store on Friday from 9 - 5! For the 1st time ever, you can search some vintage titles, too - located across the street at 127 E. Main, in Dave's Barbershop building! Here's a look at what treasures you will find there... same prices, $2/hardcover, $1/paperback. Sets will be priced separately.

REEDIKULUS DAY is coming this Friday, July 24th from 9 am - 4 pm in downtown Reedsburg! Retail stores will offer inventory on their sidewalks, and 40+ crafters/vendors will provide many choices for you to shop unique treasures, score some , find some lunch at a downtown food spot, maybe get your Christmas shopping started early!
We'll be having the Book Sale of the Year with $2 hardcovers, $1 large paperbacks, Bargain Packs for kids @ $1, and more! Many apologies for the late notice - it did sneak up on us as it's the 4th Friday of July this year, NOT the last one.
Make your way downtown Friday, 7/24, and find some REEDIKULUS BARGAINS!

Check your calendar! Sat., July 25th is the Annual Flea Market Party in the Park from 9 am to 3 pm - City Park, Reedsburg. ALSO that day is the 2nd Annual Local Author Fair at Main Street Books, downtown Reedsburg! From 1 - 3 pm several local authors (some books pictured, missed a couple) will offer their books for purchase and signing - plan ahead for birthday and Christmas gifts for the book lovers in your life. Authors of the books pictured, and more, will be in front of the bookstore. Hit the Flea Market, then venture down to the bookstore! (Still waiting to get a reply from a couple more authors! 🤞)

1st: Celebrating our 18th birthday on Sat., June 27! Get a gift with your purchase, maybe win a door prize!

2nd: New titles in the store! Single copies of most, and many are autographed!
3rd: Help support our current, local cause, the Farmer Angel Network. Stop in, pick up a new copy of “The Dairy Good Cookbook” for a suggested $10 donation.

WI Indie Bookshop Questers BEWARE! If you’re planning to visit us on Sat., June 20th, you may have difficulty getting to the store BEFORE 12 noon. It’s our annual Butterfest Parade Day, starting at 10:30, and it goes right down Main Street, directly in front of the bookstore. There’s also construction on Vine St. behind the bookstore. You can get to us! It just won’t be easy until after the parade is done around noon/12:30. If you navigate your way to find us…..there will be an Event stamp to be earned. Hey! It’s a PARADE!! You will be a ButterQuester! There’s a lot going on at the ButterFestival - click the links for details. 🧈🍻🎠🎡

Reedsburg Butterfest is an annual event that takes place during June Dairy month. It is a Family Friendly event with fun and food! 2025 Reedburg Butterfest's theme is "FFA-The Future of Farming".

Hear ye, hear ye! Main Street Books, in collaboration with 35 indie bookstores across the great state of Wisconsin, is excited to announce the 1st Annual Wisconsin Indie Bookshop Quest!
Starting June 1st, you shall acquire the Quest Map at the participating Indie Bookshop of your choice and venture forth across the land to seek out adventure and treasures all book lovers dream of. You have until June 30th to complete your Quest.
Your Main Quest is to visit as many Indie Bookshops as you can during the month of June. You shall advance your level for each participating Indie Bookshop you visit.
But hark! What's this? A Side Quest you say? Gain extra levels by completing these side quests (including meeting dear pets of any bookshops, or attending our Birthday Party on June 27th).
Should you succeed in completing your Quest and visiting all of the gallant bookshops on the map, you shall be entered into a drawing for literary riches beyond your wildest bibliophile dreams!
These riches include gift cards to the Indie Bookshop of your choice:
