One of the great things about the new expanded bookstore is that I can expand some of our existing sections that had very limited space before. One section that we really expanded is the nature/outdoor activity section. It has over twice as much room as it had before so we can both order new inventory and also display our existing inventory better.
When I taught Environmental Science I had a wide variety of field guides and I quickly found out which ones my students preferred. When I became a bookstore owner I still wanted to help people to explore outdoors and I found a supplier that carried all my students favorite field guides. That supplier carries not only Minnesota/Midwest field guilds but also other books specific to our state. The five books shown in the post were just released for sale this week and are perfect for people interested in our area.
Fun Fact: Ohiyesa/Dr Charles Eastman actually grew up in Morton and there is a historical plaque about him in Morton.
