If you've been by Redfield Quilt Shop the past month or so, you've seen a For Sale sign in the yard. While we never had any intention of moving (especially since just expanding our classroom!) we saw an amazing opportunity that we couldn't pass up!
A realtor friend of ours told us in late January that she was going to be selling the building in Perry that used to house the Ben Franklin. Dustin and I stopped in our tracks. Tell us more! She told us that the commercial space was four storefronts (~12,000 sqft) and that there were five apartments upstairs. Four of the apartments were rented out (two of which are rented by our friends) and the fifth apartment, which is the owner's apartment, was open. We had been in two of the apartments while visiting our friends and were astonished at their beauty. We couldn't wait to see the owner's apartment. We scheduled a showing in early February, and our lives have been a whirlwind ever since!
There's a lot of moving parts that we are still working on and don't have definite timelines yet, but it's looking like August/September will be our timeframe of moving the quilt shop up to Perry to become Perry Quilt Shop! The plan is to have half of the retail space for the quilt shop and classroom.
I am so excited for this new opportunity and I hope you continue to follow me on my journey as I expand into Perry Quilt Shop.
I'm told I should be able to update my page from Redfield Quilt Shop to Perry Quilt Shop when the time comes, so if you aren't following my on Facebook yet, now is the time, to stay up-to-date on the transition.
