For Sale: Antique Victorian Children's Leather Shoes (ca 1800's to early 1900's)

These very sweet child's shoes are most likely Mary Janes. They feature a reddish-brown textured finish. The shoes have crinkled, aged brown leather with visible patina and character wear. They are in very good condition with only a small tear or hole in the front of the right shoe. They are a T-strap or ankle-strap design with traditional button closures. They have been stuffed with paper to maintain their shape. They each have a number 3 stamped into the bottom which I assume is the size. They measure 5 1/8 inches long by about 2 inches wide at their widest point.

For Sale: Antique 12 Tube Tin Candle Mold

These candle molds were common in the 18th and 19th century households. It allowed colonial families and early settlers to efficiently cast multiple uniform taper candles at once, replacing the much slower method of repeated hand-dipping. The metal tubes are slightly tapered, making it easier to pull the finished candles out once the wax or fat cools and shrinks. Early households typically filled these molds with tallow, though wealthier families used cleaner burning beeswax or bayberry wax. Wicks were made of cotton or linen strings. Once set, the bottom knots were cut and the mold was briefly dipped in warm water to loosen and slide the completed candles out. This candle mold is in very good condition with no apparent damage at all. It measures 11 inches tall, 7 1/4 inches wide and about 3 inches deep. This candle mold has a particularly nice patina to the tin.

This is an antique German enamel bread box, likely produced around 1910. It features a distinct blue and white "Chicken Wire" or honeycomb pattern. The oval-shaped container is made of metal with a hinged lid, often referred to as a bread keeper or "Brotkasten" in German. It has brass hardware with a loop handle on top, and a front clasp to secure the lid. It measures 16 1/2 inches wide by 9 1/4 inches. It is nearly 5 inches tall.
