Escape the summer heat and enjoy a cool adventure over Father’s Day weekend, when everyone in Montana can fish for free.

While anyone can fish without a license on June 20-21, all other fishing rules and regulations are in effect and must be followed.

All would-be anglers are encouraged to be aware of boating and water safety on Montana’s rivers and streams. To view current waterbody restrictions, visit fwp.mt.gov/news/current-closures-restrictions/waterbody-closures

Additionally, those with watercraft of any kind must remember to stop at all AIS inspection stations.

"Stillwater success." I met this nice couple a few weeks back. They stopped by the shop and asked for a few recommendations on flys for the local waters. After an epic day on Rock Creek, they came back for more flys and plans to fish the Stillwater. The water was on the rise, but Matt still got it done with his fishing buddy right by his side and what every man needs, a great woman to take great pics!!

Absolutely love getting pics from customers after stopping by the shop to get fish catching flies!! Come see us!

Some people just don't learn that being nice goes a lot further. Sending me personal emails about my husband's parking is completely inappropriate.

The best days in the shop for me are when customers come back to get more of what works! It is being part of other people's great days and memories that make our job so special!!

Celebrate Mom with free fishing!

Saturday and Sunday (May 9-10) are free fishing days in Montana for all residents and nonresidents to celebrate Mother's Day. Everyone can fish without a license, but all other regulations apply! The best gift for Mom is family fun!
