This bowl is AMAZING!!! Incredible grain patterns on this Walnut crotch bowl. The crotch refers to where two branches, or the trunk and a branch. meet. The merger creates a very unique grain pattern which is often associated with a "flame" like appearance. Really interesting Walnut bowl. This bowl is made mostly of the lighter
colored sap wood from the tree. If you look towards the bottom of the bowl you
can see the brown which is the heart wood. The natural edge, or bark edge, adds a
splash of character not found in most bowls. Approx 3 3/4" tall with a diameter of 5" this piece will fit perfectly on a shelf or on the table as a small candy bowl. Really

This Ash bowl is simple, clean, understated with a pleasing look. With an approx 8 3/4" diameter and 2 1/4" tall this would make a beautiful individual salad bowl; a small fruit bowl, an awesome nut bowl, or even a catch all by the front door. This is a really cool story, I think, When my youngest sister was a child, she wanted a Magnolia tree to be planted in our yard for her Birthday. It was done. When the house was sold, the tree was moved to the new house. When that house was sold, the tree needed to stay because it was too large to move again. I was over the house right before papers were passed and was able to take some branch trimmings that. That was about 10 years ago. I just made this bowl for my sister out of a branch from "her tree". I am so excited about this project for many reasons, as I am sure you can figure out. It is a "Bird's Mouth" style bowl made out of my sisters Magnolia tree. If you like the style let me know and I can make one for you!!

These petite Walnut Live Edge bowls would be perfect on a bedside table to hold rings or assorted jewelry! They are also food safe so could be used on the countertop to hold commonly used spices like salt or pepper etc. The pair are around 3 inches in diameter and between 3 and 4 inches tall.
