Syeeda is HERE!!!

She has a beautiful new book for your reflection and guidance! She’s here until 3pm, come out and hear about her amazing work!

“Set an Example” by Syeeda J. Echols

Description

Wherever God places you, you are called to set an example.

You were not saved to blend in quietly or to minimize the light that God has placed within you. You were created and commissioned to live boldly, reflecting Christ in every space you enter. Set an Example takes that timeless truth and speaks it directly into the hearts of today’s emerging Christian leaders. This book bridges the gap between spiritual formation and practical leadership, showing you how to lead with confidence while staying rooted in prayer, Scripture, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in real-world situations.

Through biblical teaching, personal stories, heartfelt reflection, and applicable wisdom, you will gain the clarity and courage needed to influence others in a way that consistently points them toward Christ. Whether this is your first leadership role, a new season of responsibility, or a personal commitment to live with greater purpose, these pages will strengthen your character and sharpen your leadership.

You will learn how to:

- Lead from a foundation of prayer and Scripture

- Model integrity in both private and public life

- Love people with humility and courage

- Live out your calling with faith and perseverance

You carry something holy. The world needs what God has placed inside you.

About “Sabrina & Corina” by Kali Fajardo-Anstine

NATIONAL BOOK AWARD FINALIST
Latinas of Indigenous descent living in the American West take center stage in this haunting debut story collection—a powerful meditation on friendship, mothers and daughters, and the deep-rooted truths of our homelands.

“Here are stories that blaze like wildfires, with characters who made me laugh and broke my heart.”—Sandra Cisneros

WINNER OF THE AMERICAN BOOK AWARD • FINALIST FOR THE STORY PRIZE • FINALIST FOR THE PEN/ROBERT W. BINGHAM PRIZE FOR DEBUT SHORT STORY COLLECTION

Kali Fajardo-Anstine’s magnetic story collection breathes life into her Latina characters of indigenous ancestry and the land they inhabit in the American West. Against the remarkable backdrop of Denver, Colorado—a place that is as fierce as it is exquisite—these women navigate the land the way they navigate their lives: with caution, grace, and quiet force.

In “Sugar Babies,” ancestry and heritage are hidden inside the earth but tend to rise during land disputes. “Any Further West” follows a s*x worker and her daughter as they leave their ancestral home in southern Colorado only to find a foreign and hostile land in California. In “Tomi,” a woman leaves prison and finds herself in a gentrified city that is a shadow of the one she remembers from her childhood. And in the title story, “Sabrina & Corina,” a Denver family falls into a cycle of violence against women, coming together only through ritual.

Sabrina & Corina is a moving narrative of unrelenting feminine power and an exploration of the universal experiences of abandonment, heritage, and an eternal sense of home.

Book Overview

If you could go back in time, who would you want to meet?

In a small back alley of Tokyo, there is a café that has been serving carefully brewed coffee for more than one hundred years. Local legend says that this shop offers something else besides coffee—the chance to travel back in time.

Over the course of one summer, four customers visit the café in the hopes of making that journey. But time travel isn’t so simple, and there are rules that must be followed. Most important, the trip can last only as long as it takes for the coffee to get cold.

Prepare to meet four visitors, each of whom is hoping to make use of the cafe’s time-travelling offer in order to:
confront the man who left them
receive a letter from their husband whose memory has been taken by Alzheimer’s
see their sister one last time, and
meet the daughter they never got the chance to know.
Heartwarming, wistful, mysterious and delightfully quirky, Toshikazu Kawaguchi’s internationally bestselling novel explores the age-old question: What would you change if you could travel back in time?
