A quick update on what I’ve been doing lately! November and December are always a bit crazy in my world. I had two markets that were both pretty successful, but left me feeling a bit blah as far as crocheting goes.
After the Christmas rush I needed something fun to work on. My niece had asked me to make her a steering wheel cover a while back (and she just happens to have a birthday at the end of December) so I decided it was time to figure that one out. I found a couple patterns I liked, then mashed them up a bit to come up with what I wanted and loved the results. I was able to finish it just in time to give it to her for her birthday.
My daughter wanted one for her car also. As I was going through my yarn stash to find the right colors, I realized I had the perfect blue to match my new(ish) car so I whipped one up for myself too!
These are so fun and gives the car a nice splash of character! Plus, with the snow and freezing cold temps we’ve had this last week, it feels a bit nicer than gripping a freezing cold steering wheel. 🥶
I’m pretty sure I’ll be making more of these soon, but as This time of year is also the perfect time for cozy makes so I’m working on a new sweater and need to finish up a couple of blanket projects I’ve had going for quite a while now.
I’ll get around to taking that Christmas tree down eventually…
