Sharing Xena again with great hope that her adopter will see her today! 🤞🙏🐾

Meet Xena—a lively, gray-faced sweetheart whose heart of gold shines brighter than ever! Don’t let her silver muzzle fool you: this girl still has plenty of pep in her step and a joyful spark that lights up every room. Xena is the perfect mix of gentle and fun. Xena is a 9 year old, 60 pound boxer mix.

Xena needs an adopter who can afford her veterinary care. She is being adopted out from the shelter with a medical waiver, she will need a dental at some point, but before that, follow up on labwork. Shelter staff will share that information with potential adopters.

Xena loves being by your side, soaking up affection, and enjoying all the little adventures life still has to offer. All she wants now is a cozy home and someone to love for the rest of her golden years. If you’re looking for a loyal, spirited companion, Xena is ready to brighten your days—one happy tail wag at a time.

Bear is asking for your shares today. We have been sharing Bear now since JUNE of 2025!!!

Bear was an owner surrender to rescue. Bear is aptly named – he’s a big guy – Bear is only part of his name – because the first part has to be “Teddy.” He’s 8 years old and weighed in at 125 pounds when he recently went to the vet to update his vaccines. He’s a total love with people of all ages, including the vet!

It was reported that Bear was good with other dogs, including little dogs ( he was raised with a small breed dog), but Bear has never been around cats. Bear is very reactive when meeting other dogs but he does fabulous with the dogs in his foster family. His foster sister and brother are a Rottweiler and a Chihuahua and a regular sleepover guest is a Belgian Malinois. It took some time and work to get to that place but his foster helped make it happen! He would probably do best as an only dog, but with time and patience, could live with another dog if introduced slowly.

Bear is learning manners in his foster home (still working on counter surfing!) and is eager to please. He’s crate trained and house trained as well. As mentioned, Bear had some leash reactivity to work through, but he's a smart guy and just needs someone to help him get over his excitement. He knows the basics now and is better about learning to interact with other dogs respectfully. It takes time, but with force-free training (no prong, choke, or e collar) his rescuers believe that Bear is a good boy who can learn to get along with other dogs - he's already proven he can! Bear loves to give high-fives and is just a happy boy. Watching him rolling in the grass with all four paws in the air is as adorable as it sounds.

After a long stay with his rescue foster, Bear is ready for true forever home!
