Dryer taking too long to dry the clothes? Try replacing the vent hose on the back. It's about $5.00 at Lowes, and saves you a service call. Most of the lint buildup will be in the hose causing restriction. Make sure its not kinked behind the dryer when you push it back.

Avoid an insurance claim! Check your inlet hoses on your washer every six months by rubbing them with your hand to see if there are any goose eggs on them. It usually happens to the hot water hose. Just think what happens if that hose bursts while your gone. Replace them with the steel braided ones from your local big box stores.

Dishwasher not cleaning properly? Use the Finish brand pods with the red ball & always use jet dry. You can also add a 1/2 teaspoon of the product called TSP found in the paint department in Lowes. It is simply a box containing phosphates. It greatly enhances the washing of your dishes. Never use liquid detergent in the dishwasher. Big waste of money!!!
