Lots of happenings this spring here on the farm! Our Elenore had her calf last month, we added miss Molly Moo to our herd, and Miss Edgar, our new female guard goose has been welcomed into the flock as well! Chicks are hatching, ducks are broody, we are back in milking, and we are so excited to see what this summer will bring at Old Paths Farmstead!

Meet Violet! This is the little gal we kept from this litter of Snowy and Dixie's puppies. This will be the last of their babies, so we thought it best to keep one to work along side of mama and papa. This sweet girl claimed us from the beginning when they all were just a few days old! She is loving the snow today, and already is sitting guard and alert to watch the chickens and ducks...she takes her little job with pride! She also really loves taking naps in the egg collection basket! 😂

Who can help me find homes for these last 2 sweet girls? We are keeping one of their sisters for ourselves, and this will be Dixie's last litter! If anyone knows someone interested in a purebred Great Pyrenees, from working LGD stock, let me know! We have dropped the price down to $200 just to find them their new forever home soon!

Saturday we hosted a farm day workshop here at Old Paths. We invited several local homesteaders families to join us for a day of fellowship and fun to butcher our young spring rams and an old retired ewe. Lots of learning, hard work, and much fun was had by all!
